Anthony Nolan

Anthony Nolan is a pioneering charity that saves the lives of people with blood cancer who need a blood stem cell, or bone marrow transplant. In 1974, Anthony Nolan’s mother, Shirley, set up the world’s first bone marrow register to match donors with people who desperately needed a transplant.

DKMS

In 1991, Dr Peter Harf and Professor Gerhard Ehninger founded DKMS in honour of Harf’s wife Mechtild, who had sadly lost her battle with blood cancer. It is now the world’s biggest donor registry, with over 12.5 million potential donors registered worldwide and has provide over 120,000 second chances at life.

Gift of Life

A survivor of leukemia himself, Jay Feinberg established a grass roots organization that has saved the lives of hundreds of patients in need, building a register with almost 500,000 donors and facilitating over 5,500 transplants. Gift of Life is an associate donor registry of the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) and an accredited registry by the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA).

Ezer Mizion

Ezer Mizion’s Bone Marrow Donor Registry is the largest Jewish registry in the world with over 1,250,000 potential donors. Ezer Mizion’s registry is affiliated with the National Bone Marrow Donor Program and is a member of Bone Marrow Donors Worldwide.
